2015 is shaping up to be quite a celebratory year for Lis and the team. As well as celebrating 25 years since Answers (and, latterly, Lis Welsh Search & Selection) was founded, Lis has also been nominated in the inaugural Top 100 Women in Games survey that is currently being conducted in association with leading trade publication, MCV. As an industry that is still perceived by the outside world to be male dominated, making the nominated list is an incredibly proud achievement for Lis, who started her career in the days when the Sega MegaDrive and Super Nintendo ruled the roost and the recruitment industry was still in its formative years.

“Being a part of this list really brings it home to me how far we’ve come as an industry, in as much as the glass ceilings that were there 25 years ago are now much less inhibiting” said Lis “What this has done is allow some of the smartest and most driven women in the interactive entertainment industry to make it to the very top of their profession, and stand on an equal footing with their male colleagues. A huge congratulations to all the other women that have made this list – it’s a fantastic result”

Never one to rest on their laurels, LWS&S are currently looking at ways in which they can further help to attract the top female talent from other industries into the games arena. 2015 is going to be a very busy year.
