Keef has been involved in the interactive entertainment industry for over 20 years. Having started his career as a journalist on the UK’s leading Mega Drive publication, he moved across in 1995 to help promote and market some of the earliest 3rd party titles for an amazing new console called…PlayStation! Having an understanding of how the media worked was vital in helping to launch titles through the likes of Telstar Electronic Studios. Keef has held PR positions at Ubi Soft Entertainment and Empire Interactive, and has also consulted with industry giants such as EA, Bethesda and Jagex as well as multi-national corporations such as British Telecom. He’s held senior positions in some of the big London full-service agencies, where he was able to hone his business skills alongside his communication “chops”. More recently, Keef co-founded the developer-focused marketing agency Peppermint P, and has recently moved back to consulting in order to be able to work with a more diverse range of clients and offer his skills and advice on a 1-2-1- basis.
Keef likes riding fast motorcycles around UK race tracks. He also enjoys climbing the sea cliffs in Dorset and the gritstone in Yorkshire, boxes non-competitively “…for fun”, and holds the rank of Master instructor in the traditional Korean art of Tang Soo Do. Oh, and he’s cycled back from Gamescom in Germany three times in order to raise money for Gamesaid (along with a whole bunch of other like minded fools)
